Home Teams/Jersey Colours

All North teams are the designated Home teams, as per annual rotation. All North teams get preference of which colour they are going to wear. The North teams have until the Tuesday leading up to Alberta Bowl, to decide what colour they will be wearing and must inform the ASAA office so that the office can communicate and coordinate that with the other teams, so as to avoid any conflicts with jersey colours.

U of L Field Information

The facility consists of the following amenities:

·  One regulation-size artificial grass surface

·  One regulation-size natural grass field adjacent to the stadium (no lights)

·  Grandstand seating for 2000 spectators with two parking lot areas for 300+ vehicles

·  Four team dressing rooms with showers

·  Ticket booth, public washrooms & concession services

·  First aid room with ice machine

·  Security cameras throughout the facility covering the fields and parking lot

Player/Field Rules

As coaches, please help us in protecting the facility by adhering to the following rules:

·  Please make every attempt to have clean shoes when entering the field turf area

·  No metal cleats are allowed on the turf. Length of cleats should be no longer than ½”

·  Please cross the track where designated by a cover across the track to reduce wear from football/soccer shoes

·  Please use garbage receptacles for any garbage and tape near the field

·  ONLY WATER CAN BE CONSUMED ON THE FIELD – NO GATORADE/POWERADE OR OTHER STICKY DRINKS ARE ALLOWED

·  NO GUM, SUNFLOWER SEEDS OR FOOD IS ALLOWED ON THE FIELD SURFACE

·  Please have athletes refrain from spitting on the artificial turf surface

·  Please place all garbage in garbage containers in the dressing rooms

Spectator/ Facility Rules

Please pass this on to parents and other spectators at your games:

·  No dogs are allowed within the facility

·  No smoking is allowed within the facility

·  Sunflower seeds are strictly prohibited anywhere within the facility

·  Concession services will be available

·  Parking on site is limited – car pool if possible

·  Security cameras are in use throughout the facility and are monitored by U of L Security Staff

·  As we enforced last year, only players and coaches are allowed down on the field surface or within the track area. All spectators must remain in the bleacher area.

Bus Parking

Due to the limited number of parking stalls on site, buses are not to park in the parking lot area. If they wish to stay on site, they should use the loop turn around (south of the stadium) and park along the roadway there.

Player Drop Off Access

Pre-game drop-off and post-game pickup may be difficult due to the congestion in the parking lot of cars trying to enter and exit and spectators walking throughout the lot. During busy games, buses will remain at the south end of the stadium and players will be asked to access the buses at this location. Players can be dropped off and picked up at the Southeast corner gate of the field if they would like a separate entrance/exit. As well, they can access the facility through the front entrance.

Dressing Rooms

Four dressing rooms with full shower facilities are available for use. Washrooms and faucets for filling water bottles are also available in these rooms. PLEASE HAVE YOUR ATHLETES CLEAN UP THE ROOM AND PUT ALL GARBAGE IN GARBAGE CONTAINERS PRIOR TO LEAVING. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Ice

An ice machine is available on site for injuries or for water coolers. This is located in the first aid room next to the concession.

Parking

Parking on site is VERY limited and available on a first-come basis. This especially becomes an issue during double header games when people are arriving for the second game and the first game is still in progress. The paved parking lot and the overflow gravel lot are located on site. Parking blocks have been placed in the gravel lot to better indicate where cars should park. Any vehicles parked illegally will be asked to move or will be towed.

Additional overflow parking is available at the University of Lethbridge Centre for Sport & Wellness parking area in Lot E, or near the Parkway Service Complex, both located north of the Stadium off University Drive. Patrons are asked to car pool where possible.

Press Box

The press box is heated and can accommodate a limited number of announcers and coaching staff from each team. High speed internet will be available in the press box for the Provincials.

Scoreboard/PA System

The scoreboard and PA system is available for use for High School Games and is located in the Press Box. Persons operating this equipment shall be provided by the schools and will be trained by Operations staff on how to operate the equipment.

U of L Spotter’s Booth Policy
Maximum of two coaches per team. South teams have the south end of the booth. North teams the north area.

Artificial Noisemaker Policy

As per ASAA policy, no artificial noisemakers are allowed
