In this unique partnership between UNC UNC-Chapel Hill, Copenhagen Business School in Denmark, and The Chinese University of Hong Kong, each institution selects fifteen students who spend a year studying together at each of the three host sites. Each GLOBE “term”, sStudents take two courses together that focus on the specialty of their host university; in Copenhagen, they learn about European integration, in Hong Kong, Asian business and marketing, and at UNC, global entrepreneurship. GLOBE students spend their first rotation (second semester of their junior year) at the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark. While most students traditionally complete an internship during the summer between their junior and senior year, UNC GLOBE students spend the summer at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, a leading international institution of higher learning and global research. The last rotation (the first semester of the senior year) is spent at UNC Chapel Hill.

To complement their academic experience, studentsThey have also participated in a variety of study trips to Brussels, Berlin, Osaka, Shanghai, Strasbourg, Tokyo, Washington D.C., Charlotte, and the Research Triangle Park in North Carolina to visit companies and meet with executives to discuss industry trends, overall business strategy, opportunities for growth and expansion, and current challenges facing the organization. At the end of the program, students have a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of how business is conducted around the world.
