done to move it to A is 10 J and B is 12.5J. What is the potential difference between the
points A and B.

of cross-section is halved. How will its : (i) resistance change (ii) resistivity change?
(b) A nichrome wire of length L and area of cross section a/4 has a resistance R. Another
nichrome wire of length 3l and area of cross section a/2 has resistance R1. Find the ratio
of R1 : R.
(c) Two metallic wires A and B of same material are connected in parallel. Wire A has
length(l) and radius (r) and wire B has length (2) and radius (2r). Compute the ratio of the
total resistance of parallel combination and the resistance of a wire A.
(d) Write Ohm's Law . Show how you would connect three resistance, each of resistance 6 ohms, so that the combination has a resistance of (i) 9 ohms, (ii) 4 ohms.

(b) What are the advantages of connecting electrical devices in parallel with the battery

a 110 volt circuit. The cost of electrical energy is Rs.2.50 per kWh.
