PROCEEDINGS OF THE BEADLE COUNTY COMMISSION
NOVEMBER 23, 2010
The Board of Beadle County Commissioners met on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. with members present: Chair Werner, Vice Chair Drake, Mattke, Marcus and Benson.
The Minutes of November 16, 2010 were approved as read.
The Board of Commissioners met with the Insurance Committee to go over the health insurance plan.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Drake, motion carried to authorize Jerry Batien, Beadle County Highway Superintendent to attend a Safety Conference on February 23 – 24 2011 in Ft. Pierre.
Moved by Benson, seconded by Drake, motion carried to approve quotes the following quotes for truck liners with the quote awarded to Plastic Works as being in the best interest of the county:

Sand Mack from Peoples Transit met with the Board to update them on the happenings at People’s Transit.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Mattke, motion carried to set January 5, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. for Metal Pipe & Bridge Material.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Drake, motion carried to approve the Joint Cooperative Agreement (JCA) for 2011 with NECOG.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Mattke, motion carried to authorize Doug Solem, Beadle County Sheriff to hire Chris Olerud as full time Deputy Sheriff beginning December 1, 2010.
Moved by Drake, seconded by Benson, motion carried to approve Doug Solem, Beadle County Sheriff to attend new Sheriff Convention.
Moved by Mattke, seconded by Drake, motion carried to declare surplus Polaris Ranger and trade it for a 2011 Polaris Ranger from the following quotes with the quote awarded to GT Power as being in the best interest of the County:

Moved by Mattke, seconded by Marcus, motion carried to accept Resignation of Joe Small, Beadle County Jailor.
Moved by Marcus, seconded by Benson, motion carried to authorize Skip McWethy, Beadle County Jail Administrator to hire new jailor out of recent pool of candidates.
The Board adjourned to meet next on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at 9:00 a.m.
