The Story As Written

The Story as written:

In Ignan: Long ago in the Age of Destiny, after the star fell to earth and made the world new, the empire of the Pharaohs rose. The Pharaohs ruled as gods on earth, their monuments towered over evenThassilon’smightiest, and their armies could churn a kingdom to mud, and blot out the sun on wings of death. The land under the Pharaoh’s rule was called Osirion, and its largest city was Tumen. Tumen was an Oasis in the Desert, for in Tumen, pure water was drawn forth by the grace of the Opaline Satrap whom theRadiant Pharaohhad favored, and in turn was favored by.

In Terran: In this time, Ini-Kherit appeared in this world, a great being of Stone sent from the plane of Earth. Over thousands of years, Ini-Kherit travelled the sands of Osirion, learning the ways of the desert. Ini-Kherit came and went as he pleased, but he always returned to the sacred city of Tumen at the end of his travels.

In Auran: But the waters of Tumen did not flow forever, and during the time of the Four Pharaoh’s of Ascension, the waters began to ebb. As the waters of Tumen slowly dried, the great city was abandoned. Ages passed, and the sandstorms of khamsin buried the city. Time went on in its endless march, and new cities were built, but the lost city of Tumen was forgotten.

In Terran: Then one day, Ini-Kherit returned from his travels to find that the ancient city was gone. He gathered together others of his kind, and other beings of fire and wind, many of whom had been pressed into service by the pharaohs of Osirion, and were now free. He named them the Goanron triumvirate. The Goanron became the new wardens of the desert, and they began their work to return the land of Osirion back to its original and sacred shape. The Goanron used the khamsin storms to mould the desert, directing them this way and that, as was needed to return order to the desert lands.

In Auran: But the lost city of Tumen stayed buried under the sands. Some say that Ini-Kherit never found it, but this is not the truth. Ini-Kherit keeps the holy city buried under the sands because he fears a great power within. Only once the holy city of Tumen is uncovered can the desert be returned to its true glory.

Then one day, Ini-Kherit returned from his travels to find that the ancient city was gone. He gathered together a band of elementals, or earth and air and fire, many of whom had been pressed into service by the pharaohs of Osirion, and were now free. He called them the Goanron triumvirate. The Goanron thought themselves to be wardens of the desert, and they strove to return the land of Osirion back to its original shape. The Goanron used the khamsin storms to mould the desert, directing them this way and that, as they pleased.
