Access Arrangements

Do you require any special arrangements on the day of the examination?

Time extensions, coloured paper etc can be agreed by the RHS for cases of dyslexia or other disability but this will need to be agreed in advance with the RHS.

If you feel you may be entitled to this please contact the RHS examinations office directly as soon as possible . Without confirmation from the RHS (who will require supporting evidence) we cannot adjust timing or other exam arrangements.

Physical access: the examination room at North Moreton is accessible for wheelchairs; the new practical classroom at Ryton, where exams will be held this year, is not accessible for wheelchairs.

Administration charges

External candidates pay an administration charge of £25 per dayon top of the RHS examination fees to contribute to room hire and invigilation costs.

BEST distance learning students are NOT external and only pay the exam fees.

A cheque, payable to ‘The Academy of Practical Horticulture’ for the examination fee and administration charge (if applicable) must be enclosed with your application.

The RHS deadline is Thursday 30th November 2017. Please ensure that your form reaches us by Thursday23rd November to make sure that it is processed.

You may be liable for a late entry fee (which doubles the exam fee!) if your form misses the deadline.
