Project Number 23SR13-414-D, BGS Project Number 2175, Bid Number 16-010

THIS PROJECT IS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY OF FUNDING.

The Maine Army National Guard shall repair the hangar doors at Building #260. The project consists of structural steel upgrades on the hangar doors, new door operators, welding and electrical. The Contractor shall furnish and install all items in accordance with Plans and Specifications prepared by: Colby Company LLC.

The cost of the work is approximately $ 750,000.00. The work to be performed under this contract shall be completed on or before 30 March 2016.

1.  Sealed Contractor bids for the project noted above, in envelopes plainly marked "Bid for Repair Hangar Doors, Building #260, B.I.A., Bangor, Maine, Project Number 23SR13-414-D, BGS Project Number 2175, Bid Number 16-010" and addressed to:

will be opened and read aloud at the address shown above at 2:00 p.m. on 17 September 2015. Bids submitted after the noted time will not be considered and will be returned unopened.

2.  The bid shall be submitted on the Contractor Bid Form (section 00 41 13) provided in the Bid Documents. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids as may best serve the interest of the Owner.

3.  Bid security on this project.

The Bidder shall include a satisfactory Bid Bond (section 00 43 13) or a certified or cashier's check for 5% of the bid amount with the completed bid form submitted to the Owner.

4.  Performance and Payment Bonds on this project.

* If Performance and Payment Bonds are not required, the Bid Administrator will delete the following “The selected Contractor shall…” sentence.

* If Performance and Payment Bonds are required, the following “The selected Contractor shall…” sentence should remain.

The selected Contractor shall furnish a 100% contract Performance Bond (section 00 61 13.13) and a 100% contract Payment Bond (section 00 61 13.16) in the contract amount to cover the execution of the Work.

5.  Filed Sub-bids are not required on this project.

6.  There Pre-qualified General Contractors on this project.

* If Pre-qualified General Contractors are not required, the Bid Administrator will delete the following “The Pre-qualified General…” sentence and delete the form fields for listing GC names.

* If Pre-qualified General Contractors are required, the following “The Pre-qualified General…” sentence remains and the Bid Administrator will list the GCs below –in alphabetical order.

7.  An on-site pre-bid conference be conducted for this project.

* If a pre-bid conference is not required, the Bid Administrator will delete the following “The pre-bid conference is…” sentence.

* If a pre-bid conference is required, the Bid Administrator will complete the following including specific information on hour, date and location of meeting in the blank form field box.

The pre-bid conference is for General Contractors and optional for Subcontractors and suppliers. Contractors who arrive late or leave the meeting early may be prohibited from participating in this meeting and bidding. A Pre-bidding Conference is scheduled for 10:00 am on

10 September 2015 on site. The Contractors shall meet at B.I.A., Building #254, 92 Hayes Street, Bangor, Maine, near the side parking area. This is Mandatory for all General Contractors. Picture Identification Is Required At The Guard Shack. Latitude 44.8068185N, Longitude 68.8087194W.

8.  Bid Documents - full sets only - will be available on or about 28 August 2015 and may be purchased Plans and specifications may be obtained from the following for a non-refundable fee of $100.00. The Contractor may obtain a Compact Disk “CD” for a fee of $25.00. Electronic copies of the plans and specifications may be emailed to the Contractor for a fee of $20.00. Only checks shall be accepted, make check payable to the Treasurer, State of Maine. from:
