Revelation: A Continuous Melody and a Thunderous Appeal, Spencer W. Kimball, #22

Joseph reported that he knew he must either put the Lord to the test and ask Him or perhaps choose to remain in darkness forever. Early one morning he stepped into a grove, now called sacred, and knelt and prayed, having faith that God would give him the enlightenment which

he so earnestly sought. Two personages appeared to Joseph -- the Father and the Son -- and he was told, in answer to his question that he was to join none of the churches, for none of them was true. The Prophet Joseph Smith taught us the principle of faith -- by example. His simple prayer of faith on that spring morning in 1820 brought about this marvelous work which continues today throughout the world.

Thomas S. Monson, The Prophet Joseph Smith: Teacher by Example, Ensign, Nov 2005, 67

Here are some suggestions:
A Christ-centered Christmas story or tradition
A favorite scripture (explain why)
A Christ-centered experience
A heartfelt sentiment of your testimony
A story from your childhood
A family activity for the holidays
A poem describing your life

QUOTE

In bringing forth the Book of Mormon, young Joseph Smith learned line upon line the things he had to learn in order to become the prophet of the Restoration. Yet it is so that Joseph Smith's education continued past the translation and through his subsequent responsibilities and experiences. -James E. Faust, Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon, Ensign, Jan 1996, 2
