Relief Life Skills Coach

Job Title Relief Life Skills Coach

Reporting to Centre Manager
Purpose of Job
To support members of staff and Board of Trustees in all aspects of the delivery of a high quality day care service throughout Daybreak

Key areas of responsibility

·  Delivery of pre programmed activities
·  Direct responsibility for the delivery of service to clients
·  Delivery of Living Skills as directed by the Manager and Life Skills Coaches
·  To carry our driving duties as deemed necessary by the Manager and Life Skills Coaches
·  To carry out lunch time supervision on a rota basis
·  To produce written reports/diary entries and other recording systems
·  Delivery of other activities to include gardening, educational visits, working in the bakery and retail outlet, laundry duties, sports and any other activities as required
·  To ensure that the welfare, health and safety of the clients is a major priority at all times
·  Ensure a high quality service is delivered to clients, carers, Care Managers, and others
·  Policies and strategies agreed by the Board are reflected in communication outside of the organisation
·  Respect confidentiality concerning both clients and company policies
·  In common with other staff, a professional manner must be adopted at all times
·  Any other duties as deemed integral and necessary to your development and the efficient and smooth operation of the company

QUALIFICATIONS

/ Essential / Desirable
·  3 G.C.S.E’s or equivalent
·  NVQ Level II Social Care
·  First Aid Certificate
·  Manual Handling Certificate
·  Driving Licence
·  Health and Hygiene Certificate / *

·  Experience of working in health & social care with people with learning disabilities
·  Experience of care and independent living programmes / * / *
