4. / Pretend you are Red Riding Hood. Write a Thank You note to the hunter for saving you and granny.
Introduction
1.  Wear a red scarf over your head. Ask the children if they have heard the story of Little Red Riding Hood. Say, “Today we are reading a different version of it.”
2.  Show the children a picture of a wolf. Ask them if they would be frightened of a wolf. Say, “Today we will read about Red Riding Hood meeting a wolf.”
3.  Bring in a pamphlet or material on not talking to strangers. Ask the children why they should not talk to strangers. Say, “Today we will see what happens when one girl decides to talk to a stranger.”
