Re: Your request for the following:
1. How many tenants (resident in homes for which the council has responsibility for maintenance) did you have in financial year 2011-2012 (those who were tenants at any time of the year)?
2. How many complaints did you have from your tenants about damp or mould in their homes in financial year 2011-2012?
3. What was the estimated total cost of responding to those requests in financial year 2011-2012?
4. How many cases referring to damp homes did the council receive in financial year 2011-2012?
5. What was the total cost (including court costs & fines) to the council of defending those cases in financial year 2011-2012?
Thank you for your information request dated 06/09/13 received in our office on the same day.
I am currently reviewing your request and investigating whether there is any information available for disclosure. Eastbourne Homes Ltd (EHL), in accordance with Section 10 of the Freedom of Information Act (2000), will reply to your request by 14/10/13, which is 20 working days afterthe date we received your request.
Our response to your request will explain in detail the reasons why we may have been unable to supply all of the information you requested, where you can find information that is already publicly available or if EHL does not hold the information, where you will be able to access it. It will also detail your right of appeal if you feel that EHL has not treated your request fairly.
In some circumstances a fee may be payable and if this is the case I will let you know. A fees notice will be issued to you and you will be required to pay before we will proceed to deal with your request.
