Position Purpose: / The Division 1 practices as per the Victorian Nurses Board policy and guidelines regarding nursing scope of practice. They are a member of the multidisciplinary team who work closely with Residents and their families or representatives. They are expected to be role models, complete day to day tasks and report any issues and adverse advents to the Clinical Care Co-ordinator. They will work closely with staff and assist them in undertaking assessments, treatment, documentation and activities. They will have a number of year's experience in aged care settings and have the ability to work independently.
The Division 1 will have an important role in providing leadership to staff and be expected to lead in the provision of quality care to residents by ensuring the delivery of skilled, individualised care to the highest possible professional standard.
Qualifications: / Essential:
·  Registered Nurse Division 1 with the NBV.
·  Excellent clinical skills and has significant Aged Care experience.
·  Demonstrated leadership qualities.
·  Strong working knowledge of legislation and policies pertinent to Aged Care and the workplace.
·  Demonstrates a high level of interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
·  Computer Literacy.
Desirable:
·  Working knowledge of ACFI, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and ACRIS.
·  Ability to speak a relevant community language would be an advantage.
·  Experience working collaboratively with consumer and carer organizations.
·  Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
·  Has actively run and managed a portfolio which adds value to the work place and requires a higher level of understanding and commitment.
·  Previous team management experience.
