Performers Contract

Performers Contract

Performers are obligated to attend all rehearsals for which they are on call. You are also obligated to make yourself available for costume fittings and photo sessions (for publicity purpose and/or production slides.)

In addition, we expect you to fulfill the following requirements:

1.)  All performers are required to contribute 15 hours of work per production in which they have been cast. These hours must be completed prior to the first dress rehearsal. (Hours do not include time used for costume fittings.) All cast members are required to stay through the end of strike. Any hours not completed by the first dress rehearsal will be doubled and must be completed before you may audition or be cast in another show.

2.)  Performers will be assigned to either set or costume construction prior to the start of rehearsals. If you are enrolled in a practicum in costume or scenery construction, you will be assigned to that area. Your Practicum, Intro to Theatre, Intro to Technical Theatre, or Technical Direction can fulfill the 15-hour of work towards the production. (Only during the semester of the show) The 15 hours towards the above must be completed before the final dress rehearsal.

3.)  Students should specify in writing any potential obstacles towards fulfillment of their assignments to the stage manager.

Having read the requirements of performers in any production sponsored by the UW-Whitewater Department of Theatre/Dance, I enter into the following agreement:
