PIC / SIC Standard Initial New Hire Course (INH-60)

COURSE OBJECTIVE:

This course will qualify a flight crewmember to act as a pilot-in-command or a second-in-command for the certificate holder. This training category is for personnel who have not had previous experience with the operator (newly hired personnel).

This course also applies to personnel employed by the certificate holder who have not previously held a crewmember duty position with that certificate holder.

This course will satisfy the requirements of:

·  135.351

·  135.293

·  135.297

COURSE PREREQUISITES:

PIC Standard Initial New Hire (INH-60) trainees must meet the minimum eligibility requirements of 135.243:

·  Commercial Pilot Certificate

·  Instrument Rating and Multiengine Rating

Completion of this Course may lead to the addition of an ATP certificate and/or an added type rating.

SIC Standard Initial New Hire (INH-60) trainees must meet the minimum eligibility requirements of 135.245:

·  Commercial Pilot Certificate

·  Instrument Rating and Multiengine Rating

Completion of this course may lead to the addition of an added type rating “SIC Privileges Only”.

·  Airline Transport Pilot Certificate or Commercial Pilot Certificate (as appropriate to the type of operations conducted),

·  Instrument Rating and Multiengine Rating, and

·  Type rating in the assigned aircraft.

·  PIC applicants must have completed a PIC proficiency check, in the assigned aircraft, in accordance with 135.293/297 or 91.1065/1069 as appropriate within the last 36 to 59 months.

SIC Alternate Initial New Hire (INH-59) trainees must meet the minimum eligibility requirements of 135.245:

·  Commercial Pilot Certificate

·  Instrument Rating and Multiengine Rating

·  SIC applicants must have completed an SIC proficiency check, in the assigned aircraft, in accordance with 135.293 or 91.1065 as appropriate within the last 36 to 59 months.
