Orgt Strategic PLAN 2016

Culture statement

With many different facets within ORGT, the culture is very diverse. Ahead of 2016, we set out to better define and to unify the ORGT culture. What follows is an all-inclusive set of tenets that all of our ORGTeers value and believe in.

We are unified by a passion.

It is undeniable that our staff is driven by a passion that is much bigger than we realize. To each ORGTeer this passion may be attributed to different entities – adventure, teaching, innovation – but nonetheless, it is captivating.

We instill a tradition of excellence.

Behind everything we do is an ORGTeer that is committed and dedicated to the highest level of excellence. Our customers and our staff deserve nothing but the best that we have to offer for every single experience, in and out of the field. We, unapologetically, push our staff to serve with extreme competence and to hold one another accountable.

We are committed to an everlasting community.

Mentorship, tradition, and legacy remain at the heart of ORGT. We expect our experienced ORGTeers to help usher in the younger staff. These three values are cornerstones for our organization, and without them, we would not survive.

We create opportunities.

“A leadership development organization disguised as an outdoors program,” – Miller Templeton, founder of ORGT. From our early beginnings, leadership development has always been the focus. However, we feel that we provide other experiences to the Georgia Tech community. Whether it may be a social outlet, a supportive community, or an aid to mental health, we have grown to serve the community in alternative ways while staying true to our roots.

We believe in change.

ORGT will continue to build upon our foundations for years to come. Continual growth and self-improvement require reevaluation upon success of our goals. We may occasionally falter, but we will always have the bigger picture in mind – to make the ORGT experience an integral part of the Georgia Tech experience.
