AMENDMENT TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2016

The City Council of Norwich pursuant to an agency agreement with the Norfolk County Council under Section 101 of the Local Government Act 1972 and in exercise of the powers of the Norfolk County Council under sections 1, 2, 4, 45 and 46 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling provisions hereby makes the following Order: -

Citation and Commencement

This Order may be cited as the Norwich City Council (South-western Controlled Parking Zone Extension) (Avenue Road, Bensley Road, College Road, Girton Road, Glebe Road, Jessopp Road, Recreation Road, The Avenues, Unthank Road and Whitehall Road) Amendment Traffic Regulation Order 2017 and shall come into effect for all purposes on the XXXX.

The Norwich City Council (Controlled Parking Zone) (South-western Controlled Parking Zone) Traffic Regulation Order 1996 (as amended) (hereinafter called the 1996 Order”) is amended as specified in Articles 4 to 8 of this Order.

The Norwich City Council (Southern Area) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) (Consolidation) Traffic Regulation Order 1982 (as amended) (hereinafter called the 1982 Order”) is amended as specified in Article 9 of this Order.

The definition of ‘operational date’ is amended by the addition of references to properties at 1 to 4 Girton Road, 1a to 163 College Road, 1 to 152 Glebe Road, 8 to 24 and 79 to 95 Recreation Road, 1 to 4 Bensley Road, 7 to 47 The Avenues, 179 to 203 Unthank Road and 29a, 29, 31, 33, 35 to 60 Jessopp Road for which the operational date is the date this order came into effect.

Additions to Schedule 1 of the 1996 Order are added as specified in Schedule 1 of this Order.

References to Girton Road, College Road, Glebe Road, Recreation Road, Bensley Road, The Avenues, Avenue Road, Unthank Road, Jessopp Road, Whitehall Road and Alleyways to the rear of College and Glebe Roads in Schedule 2 of the 1996 Order are amended as specified in Schedule 2 of this Order.

References to Girton Road, College Road, Glebe Road, Recreation Road, Bensley Road, The Avenues, Unthank Road, Jessopp Road and Whitehall Road in Schedule 3 of the 1996 Order are added as specified in Schedule 3 of this Order.

References to Girton Road, College Road and Avenue Road in Schedule 108 of the 1996 Order are added as specified in Schedule 4 of this Order.

References to The Avenues in Schedule 6 of the 1996 Order are added as specified in Schedule 5 of this Order.

References to Girton Road, College Road, Glebe Road, Recreation Road, Bensley Road, The Avenues, Avenue Road, Unthank Road, Jessopp Road, Whitehall Road and Alleyways to the rear of College and Glebe Roads in the 1982 Order are amended as specified in schedule 6
