The Year of Faith 2012-2013 Marks the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council. It will run from Oct 11th 2012 until the Solemnity of Christ the King Nov 24th 2013. During the course of the year the church will revisit and renew its appreciation and understanding of the documents of the Second Vatican Council. We will re examine our relationship to the “Four Pillars” of the Council (1) The profession of faith. (2) The Liturgy & Sacraments. (3) Life in Christ . (4) Prayer. In the words of Pope Benedict. “Faith Grows when it is lived as an experience of love received and when it is communicated as an experience of grace and love”

Oct 6th & 7th Next weekend we mark “Day for Life” A special Pastoral letter will be available with our usual newsletter. This year we pray especially for the progress of a positive culture in our society and a renewed appreciation of the right to live of the unborn child.
