1.  A rent of Rs ______must be paid at least fifteen days before the function, failing which the reservation will be cancelled and the deposit forfeited.

2.  Under no circumstances shall prolongation of any event be authorised unless notice in advance be given and the additional charges prepaid to the Welfare Officer or his representative.

3.  If the lessee or his guests has not left the Reception Hall as specified on the application for, prolongation fee will be claimed and deducted from deposit.

4.  The Council grants the use of the hall, supplied the electrical energy and water, but does not hold itself responsible for any cut.

5.  No orchestra, musical band or group will be allowed to perform during the ceremony or function, the use of registered music is strictly limited to 10.00 p.m. It must be plated such a tone so as not to cause any inconvenience to any member of the public (Govt. Notice 24 of 1967) which states:

‘It shall not be lawful for any person at any time in the Town of Vacoas-Phoenix in such a manner as may cause inconvenience to any member of the public to make use of any gramophone? Loud Speaker or any electrical or mechanical device for producing sound or any musical or other instrument on any premises’.

6.  The lessee must pay two policemen to be on duty, failing which access to the hall will be forbidden and it must be paid as the Curepipe Police, Headquarters, Curepipe at least 15 days before the function.

7.  The lessee is authorized to decorate the hall under the supervision of the Welfare Officer or his representative. Arrangements must be made with the above.

8.  After the function, the hall shall be inspected by the Welfare Officer or his representative to find out whether any damage has been done to the Council’s property.

(i)  If there has been no damage, deposit will be refunded to the lessee (in due course) after having forwarded receipt to the Sports & Welfare Department);

(ii)  If any damage has been done to the Council’s property the Welfare Officer or his representative shall report the matter to the Chief Sports & Welfare Officer who will then fix this amount to be paid. Should the amount be below the deposit, the balance should be refunded, otherwise the deposit should be retained and the balance claimed. In case of refusal, legal action will be instituted on the recommendation of the Chief Sports & Welfare Officer.

9.  Postponement or cancellation of function – deposit will be refunded only when one of the engaged partners dies or the mother, father, brother or sister, death certificate to be produced.
