Minutes for November 8, 2013 Agenda

Meeting was called to order by Rich Wilcox at 11:00 a.m.

1. Tom Domaszek reported that the number of volunteers, for the admission gates, from the various financial institutions was now at 25. Tom has to follow up with another 5 financial institutions which haven’t decided on any volunteers at this time.

2. Rich Wilcox indicated that volunteers for Farm Tech Days must be a minimum of 14 but cannot drive any vehicle for the event. Rich also reported that the first all committee meeting is to be on Tuesday December 3rd at the County Annex Building from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in conference rooms 1 & 2. Also, there is to be a 3 country wide meeting of all committees at the Elizabeth Inn in Plover, WI. on Friday December 6th. The 3 counties to be involved are Barron, Portage and Dane. Meeting time is unknown but will likely be sometime the morning of the 6th. Rich indicated we now have 2 bids from vendors for wristbands and are waiting for a third bid. However, we debated the need for wristbands as there are no current sponsors. We felt that perhaps different colored markers could be used and only if the person leaving the event needed to return. Rich also found out that there will be no overnight parking for RV’s on the Farm Tech. grounds.

3. Tom Domaszek volunteered to approach the various 4-H and FFA organizations in Portage County for possible volunteers at the admission gates.

4. Meeting was adjourned at 11:30 a.m. 5. Next meeting will tentatively be mid-January
