The IA Society Mentorship Program pairs younger students with more experienced students in order to promote success in, and commitment to, the College of International Studies. Organized much like the current OU faculty mentorship program, each CIS student mentor will be assigned approximately three mentees. Students will be matched based on a number of factors including but not limited to their major, region of study, foreign language choice, and extracurricular involvement. Events will be both planned and adopted during which mentors and mentees are able to meet. If chosen as a mentor, you will be responsible for meeting with your mentees at least once a month and making yourself available to answer questions about professors, classes, internships, study abroad opportunities, etc.

Please answer the following questions in one page or less:

  1. Why would you like to be a part of the IA Society Mentorship Program?
  2. What makes you a good candidate for a position as an IA Society Mentor? What experience or skills do you have that would make you an asset to the program?
  3. Are you willing to commit at least two hours a month to this program?

Resumes should include listing of education, activities, community involvement, and honors & awards.

Applications may be submitted electronicallyto r physically to Ronda in Hester 140 by 5pm on Friday, September28th.

Thank you for your interest in the International Affairs Society Mentorship Program.
