Business of Design Week: 4 - 9 December 2017 Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre Overview Hong Kong is a global city and international gateway to the mainland Chinese market. Business of Design Week (BODW) is Asia’s leading annual design, branding and innovation event, bringing together designers, business leaders and brands from around the world. DesignInspire, the tradeshow and exhibition component of BODW is a global showcase of leading international brands.

Each year, BODW features a different international partner city or country - the 2017 partner country is Italy. Melbourne has been selected as the BODW partner city for 2018. BODW is an opportunity for Victorian designers and design consultancies to connect to Hong Kong, mainland China and other international markets.

BODW provides Victorian industry and the State of Victoria with a good opportunity to show the depth of Victoria’s design capability and to build international profile and trade. Aims and priorities The Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources, through Creative Victoria, is offering travel grants of $2,000 to support a selected group of up to 25 Victorian- based businesses to attend the 2017 BODW in Hong Kong, as part of a Victorian Design Trade Mission.

In 2017, Victorian businesses attending BODW will have exclusive use of a purpose designed meeting, networking and co-working space at DesignInspire, which will also be the venue for a range of official Victorian functions and events.
