Qualifying Times For each event (apart from 800m/1500m FC and 100m IM) there is a considered qualifying time (QT) and an automatic QT. If a swimmer achieves an automatic QT, they will automatically be accepted into the Championships. If a swimmer achieves a considered QT they will need to enter and wait to see if accepted. The aim is to achieve an automatic QT or get as close to this as possible. Times must be achieved in a licensed level 1/2/3/4 meet. For the 800m/1500m FC the top 72 swimmers for 800m FC and top 40 swimmers for 1500m will be accepted. The top 24 swimmers will be accepted for 100m IM.

Entries Entry times must be achieved between 10th April and 11th December (main closing date 11th December). Times for 400m, 800m and 1500m events can be achieved between 12 th December 2016 and 11th December 2017. There will be one club entry so all entries must be completed by Chantal by 4th December, but any last minute updated times from competitions on the weekend 9 th/10th Dec will be accepted (any new times need to communicated to Chantal ASAP to add new entry).

How to enter – Please follow process below:

1) Complete online entry via club website (released Monday 27th November) by 4th December

(DO NOT use on deck app as need to read all meet info before entry)

2) Fill in ONB County form and hand into Chantal by 4th December

3) Payment will be paid to W&DSC AFTER accepted entries have been released – parents must pay for all entries that are accepted for their swimmer.

Parents have to do online and paper entries – please read all the info and double check, as any errors may mean swimmers entries are not processed correctly.

The entry forms will be on the club website and attached to club email update. If parents are not sure on how to fill in the form or have any questions about the County Championships please speak to Chantal. Chantal has tracked times for all swimmers, so if parents are not sure if their swimmer(s) have achieved qualifying times then please ask. Please note if swimmers have achieved considered or accepted times then they should enter these championships, as it is such a great individual and club success to compete at County level. For swimmers age 15yrs plus I will discuss with swimmers which events they are to enter.

Relays Team selections will go on the notice board/website/club email. As many swimmers will be selected as possible to swim as Witney will be entering more than 1 team per age group; so many swimmers will get the opportunity to compete at County level.

Parents please do not book holidays/days out on County dates.

Many thanks
