Fortified Soft Diet

A soft diet does not need to be pureed or sieved. It should be a consistency which can be broken into small lumps by your tongue, not your teeth. Soft food is easily mashed with a fork and requires little chewing. A soft diet is necessary if you have been advised to have one by your Speech and Language specialist, have trouble chewing, or become tired quickly when eating.

To make fortified milk add 2-4 tablespoons of dried skimmed milk powder to 1 pint of full cream milk and mix well.
