Programming Guidelines

The Programming Committee for the 2015 AABANY Fall Conference is now accepting programming proposals. Ideas for programming will be accepted until Monday, June 15, 2015. Thereafter, the Programming Committee will make the final selections of the programs.

Please take the following guidelines into consideration when completing the Program Submission Form.

1.  Each session will last 75 minutes (including 10-15 minutes of questions and answers).

2.  Please include a description of your proposed program and how it aligns with the “Charting New Frontiers” theme for the 2015 AABANY Fall Conference. Please indicate if your proposed program has been presented before and if so, where, when and by whom.

3.  Please indicate if you have a potential sponsor (law firm, corporate sponsor or other sponsor) for your proposed program.

4.  Please identify the proposed presenters/panelists and moderator (name, title and affiliation). Please note that the availability of the proposed presenters does not have to be confirmed at the time of your program submission. Moderators are required.

5.  Please identify the Program Chair who will commit to managing the program should the program be selected. The Program Chair will be responsible for meeting all relevant deadlines, working with the Programming Committee to select speakers if necessary, collecting and submitting presenter bios and all written materials necessary for CLE accreditation, making sure the presenter biographies are in the correct format, and acting as the liaison between the presenters and the Programming Committee.

6.  All Program Chairs are expected to turn in agendas, speaker bios, and written materials to AABANY by the deadlines required for CLE accreditation. Failure to comply may result in the removal of your program. Because CLE credit for legal ethics is required by most states, we encourage the submission of programs discussing ethics in the legal profession.

Please note that submission of a programming proposal does not guarantee acceptance by the Programming Committee. Furthermore, upon receiving your submission, the Programming Committee may ask that you combine your proposed program with other similar proposed programs or collaborate with other members or affiliates to enable us to diversify panels and maximize speaking opportunities.

Please send your program submissions via e-mail to Ligee Gu with the Subject Line: FC 2015 - Program Submission, and any questions to the Programming Committee Chair as follows:
