Weekly Calendar / Distributed to Students on Monday / Details the Lessons, Homework, Quizzes/Tests for the Week / Feel Free to Hang it on the Fridge and Ask to See Your Child’s Completed Work.
Read Theory /
(The students have an account and can log in with their school gmail accounts.) / This is an online reading program. Students were given a diagnostic test that shows the current grade level for which they have mastered. Students then complete weekly reading quizzes in order to meet or exceed grade level expectations. / Have your student show you his/her reading level and the progress that he/she is making. If he/she is not at the 9th grade level, require him/her to practice extra reading comprehension quizzes at home. They are relatively short (15-30 minutes).
No Red Ink / (The students have an account and can log in with their school gmail accounts.) / This is a grammar program that gives students practice activities to showcase skills taught in the classroom. If a student gets several problems correct, the program moves him/her on to the next topic. If the student struggles with a topic, he/she is given extra practice problems. / Have your student show you his/her progress that he/she is making. Each student must work on the practice exercises until he/she masters each topic. Once topics are mastered the student achieves a score of a 100.

(In the search bar, type in adriannequigley or hilary_daniels to find all of the vocabulary lists we are using. / This is a website where students can review vocabulary using flashcards, playing video games, etc. / Require your student to play these review games for 5-10 minutes each evening. Also, check to make sure your student is completing his/her vocabulary packets (which we go over together in class).
