Introductions

Dr Yapp introduced the Registrars and new staff to the group.

EMIS Web and Online Services

An update was given to the group on the new EMIS Web clinical System. Questions were raised regarding the ordering of repeat prescriptions, and online booking of appointments.

MP explained how the online ordering of prescriptions was dealt with. The group were satisfied with the online booking of appointments and prescriptions, this was tested and successful.

Patients who were registered online with Vision are now required to do another registration for EMIS Web the 50 patients will be sent the new printouts for them to make a new log in. NHS England expects us to do 10% of our patient’s bookings online by the end of March 31st 2017.

A poster will put and the TV updated with the information for patients to have the choice of the online bookings system.

The group mentioned whether the practice nurse and phlebotomist could have online bookings, MP will look into this.

Nurses were discussed as Debra is off with an operation at the moment and we have locum nurses.

Flu Charity

The group agreed to run the charity this year as it was successful last year. It was agreed the charity would be for St Mary’s Hospice and would be run in early October. We will discuss with Debra the dates and confirm in the next meeting. We raised £193 last year.

Practice Inhouse Survey

Every year the practice runs an in-house survey. MP asked the group if anything else should be added into the survey which they thought would be relevant.

The practice also submits monthly FFT (family friends test) which allows patients to comment to whether they would recommend the surgery. The CCG also send out a national survey for patients to comments on the surgery.

NHS Choices

We discussed a comment that was put onto the NHS choices site stating the practice was racist. The group felt this was inappropriate and asked if any names were mentioned. Unfortunately the person who wrote this was anonymous.

Also he mentioned the Birmingham South Central CCG Mental Health in Edgbaston were running a pilot to assist and support GP’s
