Payments can be made at cashiers of UNAM Centers or at any University campus. Requirements: i. No payments should be made to any member of staff other than the Cashier. ii. Students must present their student cards to avoid incorrect student numbers. iii. Students and parents must indicate the type of payment, to ensure correct allocation. iv. No payments should be made without obtaining an official receipt from the cashier. v. Students who make payments at the cashier should verify their receipts and change, before leaving the counter. The cashier will not be responsible for any mistakes on receipts and or wrong change that may be claimed afterwards. vi. The University and its staff cannot be held responsible for any losses if the above payment-requirements are not adhered to. vii. Only official original receipts will serve as proof that payments have been made to the University of Namibia. PAYMENT OF PRESCRIBED FEES 3.1 The minimum deposits payable at Academic registration for 2021 are as follows MINIMUM DEPOSITS PAYABLE AT ACADEMIC REGISTRATION FOR 2021 1. Registration Fees Deposit First Semester All current and prospective students of the University of Namibia are urged to note the following approved deposit for the 2021 academic year. The University has introduced two semester registrations this year, semester 1 (one) and semester 2 (two). DESCRIPTION NAMIBIAN SADC STUDENTS NON SADC STUDENTS STUDENTS 1ST Semester tuition fees 3 500.00 5 150.00 13 800.00 Registration fees 1 670.00 1 670.00 1 670.00 Connectivity fees ( compulsory all students) (N$ 500 + N$ 75 VAT) 575.00 575.00 575.00 International Student Levy 0 3 000.00 3 000.00 Total registration fees payable 5 745.00 10 395.00 19 045.00 Total fees payable at registration are payable on or before the day registration. Due date for outstanding fees for semester one (1) is on 31 May 2021, (failure to settle the outstanding fees will result in the examination marks being withheld and no registration of second semester modules) Note: Total registration deposit is payable three (3) working days before the registration date. 2. Registration Fees Deposit Second Semester DESCRIPTION NAMIBIAN SADC STUDENTS NON SADC STUDENTS STUDENTS Total fees payable 3 500.00 5 150.00 13 800.00 Due date for outstanding fees for semester two (2) is on or before 30 November 2021, (failure to settle the outstanding fees will result in the examination marks being withheld) Student registering for the first time in the second semester should pay registration fees N$ 2 245.00 plus the tuition deposit fees N$ 3 500.00. Therefore, the total fees payable is N$ 5 745.00 Note: The deposit is payable three (3) working days before the registration date Total payment upon first semester registration for Namibian students is N$ 5 745.00 (N$ 2 245 + N$ 3 500), SADC students N$ 10 395.00 (N$ 5 245 + N$ 5 150) and NON-SADC students N$ 19 045.00 (N$ 5 245 + N$ 13 800). Total payment upon second semester registration for Namibian students is N$ 3 500, SADC students N$ 5 150.00 and NON- SADC students N$ 13 800. Due date for outstanding fees for semester one (1) is on or before 31st May 2021 and for semester two (2) is on or before 30 November 2021. Failure to settle the outstanding fees will result in the examination marks being withheld.
