The 300-yard passing game was All-Time Record 643-249-24 (.715) the fi fth for Erdmann, who was named the MIAC Offensive Player of the Week for the fi fth All-Time MIAC Record 466-178-22 (.716) time of his career Sept. 23. He now has a .668 completion percentage (153 of 229 passing), All-Time Home Record 340-97-13 (.770) 2,412 passing yards and 38 passing touchdowns, to three interceptions, in his last nine home All-Time Postseason Record 44-24 (.647) games; a mind-boggling pass-effi ciency rating of 207.43. NCAA Postseason Record 39-23 (.629) All-Americans 132 All-MIAC First-Team Selections 414 WHAT A YEAR Senior Jackson Erdmann recorded one of the best, if not the best, seasons by a Saint John's quarterback in 2018. He won the 2018 Gagliardi Trophy as the most outstanding football player in NCAA Division III, just the 4 National Championships second junior to accomplish the feat in the award's 26-year history, and was named the D3football.com Offensive 1963 (NAIA), 1965 (NAIA), 1976, 2003 Player of the Year. Erdmann was a consensus (AFCA, AP, D3football.com) fi rst-team All-American, played only fi ve of the 13 games to completion and led NCAA Division III in three statistical categories: passing effi ciency (189.8), 33 MIAC Championships passing touchdowns (47) and points responsible for (290). He also fi nished third in yards per pass attempt (10.03), 1932, 1935, 1936, 1938, 1953, 1962, 1963, 1965, 1971, 1974, fourth in passing yardage (3,450) and ninth in yards per completion (15.40). The 2018 MIAC Most Valuable Player, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1979, 1982, 1985, 1989, 1991, 1993, 1994, Erdmann set single-game program records last fall for passing yards (470 on Oct. 13 vs. St. Thomas) and passing 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2008, touchdowns (7 on Nov. 10 vs. Thomas More). Erdmann also set a single-season school record for passing touch- 2009, 2014, 2018 downs and yards of total offense (3,626), and fell 39 passing yards short of Tom Linnemann's '00 school record of 3,489 set in 2000 (15 games).
