At its February 18,2016,meetingthisboardauthorizedtheissuanceofaconti-actto charterasa public school academy to inkster Preparatory Academy, formerly known as Wallace Public School Academy. On May 25,2016, the contract was effective. 2. The contract of this academy expires June 30,2021. 3. The Governor John Engler Center for Charter Schools has completed its evaluation and assessment of the operation andperformance of Inkster Preparatory Academy. 4. The university president or designee has recommended the reissuance of a contract to charter as a public school academy to Inkster Preparatory Academy. The term of the contract is recommended for a term not to exceed five (5) years. BE IT RESOLVED, That this board approves and authorizes the execution of a contract to charter as a public school academy to Inkster Preparatory Academy for a temi not to exceed five (5) years and authorizes the chair oftfae board to execute a contract to charter as a public school academy and related documents between Inkster Preparatoiy Academy and tfae Central Michigan University Board of Trustees, provided that, before execution of the contract, the university president or designee affirms that all terms of the contract have been agreed upon and Inkster Preparatory Academy is able to comply with aU terms and conditions of the contract.
