IN THE SENATE OF THE AMERICAN LEGION BOYS NATION Mr. Rosenbaum of Vermont submitted the following resolution; RESOLUTION Recognizing the important role that the Green Mountain Boys and historical Vermonters played in the success of the United States in the Revolutionary War. Whereas the Green Mountain Boys were organized to preserve the territorial sovereignty of Vermont in 1770; Whereas the Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys captured Fort Ticonderoga for the Revolutionary Army in 1775, playing a crucial and strategic role in the outcome of the war; Whereas Ethan Allen played a critical role in the organization of the Continental Army; Whereas Ethan Allen's successor in the Green Mountain Boys, Seth Warner won a victory at the Battle of Bennington critical to the success of the United States: Now, therefore, be it Resolved, That the Senate- recognizes the importance of the efforts made by the Green Mountain Boys and historical Vermonters to making the United States a reality; Filename: 2021_vt_res_rosenbaum_simon_1007.pdf Page 1/2 designates the United States District Court for the District of Vermont located at 11 Elmwood Avenue in Burlington, Vermont the "Ethan Allen Building for the United States District Court for the District of Vermont"; designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 108 Elm Street in Bennington, Vermont as the "Seth Warner Post Office".
