This is Not a Test: Gunbunny Weapons List by Matthew Caron ([email protected]) Introduction: Hello, my name is Matt, and I’m a gun nerd. Anyway, I was starting to make up a warband and noticed that I have stuff in my safe that can’t be well represented in game. Thusly, this weapons list replaces the Modern Ranged Weapons list. (p.52 TNT) New Rules: Double Tap - Semi Automatic weapons can fire more rapidly than other weapons, but not as fast as automatic weapons (those with the Burst ability). As such, a model may use both AP to shoot this weapon, thus shooting twice. Note that they do not get the bonus AP that one does with Burst. The list: Type Max Strength Reliability 1H/2H Special Rules BS Range Cost Assault Rifle 24 7 2 2H Burst 15 Compound 24 STR+1 1 2H N/A 7 Bow Full-Auto 18 7 2 2H Close Ranged, Burst 15 Shotgun Machine Pistol 12 6 2 1H Burst 7 Modern Battle 30 7 2 2H Burst 20 Rifle Modern 24 7 2 2H Double Tap 7 Sporting Rifle Revolver 12 6 1 1H N/A 5 Rifle 30 7 1 2H N/A 10 Semi-Auto 16 6 2 2H Double Tap 7 Carbine Semi-Auto 12 6 2 1H Double Tap 5 Pistol Semi-Auto Rifle 30 7 2 2H Double Tap 10 Semi-Auto 36 7 2 2H Double Tap, Move or 25 Sniper Rifle Fire, +1 to hit at 18” or more. Assault Rifle - Real military assault rifles, defined as firing an intermediary power cartridge with an automatic or burst fire mode. Not to be confused with modern sporting rifles, which are commonly called “Assault Weapons” in ban happy socialist sheeple utopias. Examples: M16/M4 and all its friends, AK-47/74/M and all its friends, FAMAS, FN CAL, FN SCAR-L, Galil, Tavor, etc. Large Caliber Upgrade Examples: The M4 as chambered in .458 SOCOM. Compound Bow - This is not a gun. I don’t care. Use the description from the book. Full Auto Shotgun - A fully automatic shotgun. Examples: AA-12, Saiga 12 (Full auto) Machine Pistol - See the description in the book. Examples: Glock 18, Micro UZI, Steyr TMP, Beretta 93R, MAC-11 Modern Battle Rifle - This category covers military rifles akin to the Assault Rifles but firing a full-power rifle cartridge instead of an intermediary power cartridge. Examples: FAL, FN SCAR-L. HK G3 Modern Sporting Rifle - This is the civilian version of an Assault Rifle. They use the same cartridges, and many of the same parts, but lack the Burst rule. Examples: AR15 and all its friends, AK-47 (semi auto) and all its friends, and basically semi-auto versions of all the stuff listed under Assault Rifle. Large Caliber Upgrade Examples: AR-15 in .450 Bushmaster or .50 Beowulf. Revolver - This covers your bog standard revolvers, be it single or double action. Examples: A gazillion different Colt, S&W and Taurus revolvers in chamberings up to and including .44 Magnum. Large Caliber Upgrade Examples: S&W Model 500 and .460 XVR, Ruger Super Redhawk. Rifle - Standard bolt or lever action hunting rifle. Examples: All your various Winchester and Marlin lever actions, any one of the pile of bolt actions, up to and including stuff in .30-06. These generally have iron sights or low-powered scopes. Large Caliber Upgrade Examples: Your elephant guns and dangerous game rifles. Stuff like .375 H&H, .416 Rigby, .460 Weatherby Magnum, etc. Semi-Auto Carbine - These are basically civilian versions of submachine guns, also known as pistol caliber carbines. Examples: Beretta CX4, HK USC, Various AR-15 based 9mm and .45 caliber carbines, etc. Semi-Auto Pistol - A mainstay of modern civilian and police inventory, they have a greater rate of fire than revolvers, but trade some reliability due to a greater sensitivity to different ammunition types. Examples: Too numerous to mention. Large Caliber Upgrade Examples: 1911’s in .460 Rowland, Desert Eagle in .50AE Semi-Auto Rifle - This covers everything from modern sporting rifles chambered in full- power rifle cartridges to WWII-type main battle rifles such as the M1 Garand, as well as the civilian versions of the Modern Battle Rifle. Examples: FAL (civilian), FN SCAR-L (civilian), M1 Garand, M14 (Civilian) Semi-Auto Sniper Rifle Examples: HK PSG-1, Barrett M98, Dragunov SVD Large Caliber Upgrade Examples: Barret M82 Semi-Auto Shotgun - These are very common in both the law enforcement and civilian markets, being popular amongst trap and turkey hunters. They trade reliability (due to ammunition sensitivity) for a higher rate of fire. Examples: Browning Auto-5, Saiga 12, Benelli M2, Franchi SPAS-12 Shotgun - Standard pump shotguns. The large caliber upgrade is either a larger bore, or a second one (for a double barrel). Examples: Mossberg 500, Remington 870 Large Caliber Upgrade Examples: Stoeger Double Defense Sniper Rifle - See the description in the book. Examples: Remington 700, Accuracy International AWM Large Caliber Upgrade Examples: Armalite AR-50, Barrett M95 Submachine Gun - See the description in the book. Examples: Thompson, HK MP5, UZI .
