By 1941, seven of the eight Ivies (minus Brown) were 1994 Dartmouth competing, along with Army and Navy. Brown joined the fold in 1949 and the 10 1995 Dartmouth teams competed annually until 1993 when Army departed to join the Patriot League. 1996 Navy (Princeton) Navy followed suit in 2003, leaving the eight Ivy League institutions. 1997 Princeton 1998 Princeton The meet has been held annually since 1939 with the exception of 1944 when the 1999 Princeton meet was canceled. Except in 1947, when the meet was held at Princeton University, 2000 Dartmouth and in 1979, when the meet was held at Lehigh University, the championship has been 2001 Dartmouth contested at Van Cortlandt Park in The Bronx, New York City. The five-mile distance 2002 Dartmouth has been standard since 1949, except in 1979 when the distance was 10,000 meters. 2003 Brown YEAR CHAMPION (Ivy Champion) 2004 Columbia 1939 Cornell 2005 Dartmouth 1940 Cornell 2006 Princeton 1941 Dartmouth 2007 Princeton 1942 Yale 2008 Princeton 1943 Dartmouth 2009 Columbia 1944 cancelled 2010 Princeton 1945 Army (Dartmouth) 2011 Princeton 1946 Navy (Cornell) 2012 Princeton 1947 Army (Penn) 2013 Columbia 1948 Army (Cornell) 1949 Army (Princeton) 1950 Army (Cornell) 1951 Army (Cornell) 1952 Army (Cornell) 1953 Cornell 1954 Cornell 1955 Cornell 1956 Harvard 1957 Cornell 1958 Army (Yale) 1959 Army (Yale) 1960 Army (Yale) 1961 Cornell 1962 Navy (Harvard) 1963 Cornell 1964 Navy (Harvard) 1965 Army (Harvard) 1966 Navy (Harvard) 1967 Harvard 1968 Harvard 1969 Harvard 1970 Harvard 1971 Penn 1972 Harvard/Navy 1973 Penn 1974 Navy (Penn) 14 2 15 Ivy League Records Book MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY Year-by-Year Championship Results 1939 27:56; 4.
