Ltd. is a Thai service & management company, which is hired to manage the penthouse and make sure that your visit will be a very special experience. You will meet Khun (Mrs.) Mam everyday of your stay. She is a very helpful and nice maid, ready to make you feel at home. Our Service Manager Khun (Ms.) Mintra will be at the penthouse on and off. She is always available on email or mobile +66 892 104 544. To ensure that you, as a guest will get a good experience during your visit, we have prepared this booklet, where you will find various services and assistance that we can provide. If you have special requests, which are not covered in this information booklet, please feel free to contact us on [email protected] for further information Practical Information - The maid in the penthouse is working every day from 8:00 am. - 17:00pm. If you want special services during this period of time, for example local transportation, grill barbeque, events, please arrange with the maid or contact the English speaking Service Manager on +66 892 104 544 to agree all details. - In case of illness or accident please contact the Service Manager on her mobile or our Danish speaking assistant on +66 899 821 916. The Penthouse staff will assist with contact to a local hospital and arrange transportation. Please remember to bring travel insurance when visiting the hospital. Contact after 22:00pm is only for absolute emergencies – if a phone call is not considered an emergency situation the call will be charged with a fee of 1,000 Thai baht per call. - Sewer Conditions and piping in Thailand are not like home. In Thailand we don’t throw toilet paper directly in the toilet. Please put used toilet paper or other similar items in the provided waste bins next to the toilet. Should a problem occur, please contact the staff! - As the staff of this Penthouse is local from near the area, there are some Thai traditions we honor and which must be respected. By abiding by these rules, we ensure our staff's welfare and the penthouse's standard - remember we are in a country where the culture is very different from ours. 1. Shoes should not be worn inside the penthouse (this means bad luck in Thailand!) 2. Smoking is prohibited inside the penthouse - but tobacco can be enjoyed on the terraces. 3. After use of the Jacuzzi – make sure you have dry feet, because the penthouse floors are extremely slippery. Local Transport Since the penthouse apartment is located outside the city, transport is therefore necessary to get to the city and can be ordered by the staff. 1. You can order a "Song Tail". This is a car where you sit on benches in the back of the car. Many call this type of car for a "Monkey car." Although this does not sound attracting, they are quite an excellent way of transportation. Approximate cost to the city of Bang Saen is 300 Thai baht. Please make payment directly to the driver. 2. If you prefer transportation of a higher standard, an air-conditioned minivan with room for 10 people it can be ordered. The price is around 800 Thai baht which covers a roundtrip to either Bang Saen or Sriracha. We will add the cost to the bill in the penthouse. 3. You can also order a “TUK TUK” – a very traditional mean of transportation in Thailand. It has space for 2 to 3 people. The cost is similar to the “Song Tail” and payment is made directly to the driver. TUK TUK Bathroom Amenities As the pool at the penthouse is under renovation, we have searched for other ways to have a relaxing time by a swimming pool. A nearby resort “Casa Lunar” has a nice swimming pool our guests can visit. “Casa Lunar” charges a small fee for all-day use of their pool facilities. Please see above for means of transportation. Local beaches The area around the penthouse offers different beaches with very cozy environment and local life. 1. Bang Saen beach - a beach with a lot of small stalls and shops. Here you can rent bikes, order food and eat with your feet in the Ocean. You can also have an inexpensive massage directly on the beach, etc.. 2. Beaches in Pattaya / Jomtien – these are crowded beaches with a great array of different activities. You can rent Jet Ski, Para Sailing etc. These beaches are very popular tourist spots and therefore have multiple offerings of all kinds. They are not the best beaches in Thailand, but fun for a day out! Transportation from the penthouse is about 45min. 3. The island of Ko Lan - Ko Lan is located out from Pattaya. This island a wonderful tropical island with superb sandy beaches and bathing quality in the top class. Please contact the Service Manager for arrangement of these trips. Life in the community: In the area near the penthouse you will find a vibrant city with plenty of restaurants, and nightclubs. It is a good idea to ask staff in the penthouse for advice, as they can recommend different options depending on interests. You can buy wine produced in Thailand, but neither we nor our customers are very impressed! We therefore have put together a selection of imported wines in different price ranges. You will find that wine is significantly more expensive than in Denmark. Beer however is a different story. Thailand is brewing some excellent beers, which easily can be compared to Danish standards. In the past Carlsberg worked in collaboration with Beer Chang, where they exchanged experiences. It was during that setup here in Thailand, that Carlsberg got their logo with the elephant. Note the logo of the Beer Chang (Chang means elephant in Thai). 50.- Wines in the penthouse We have chosen different wines to offer to our guests. If you have special requests regarding the selection, please let us know before you arrive. We will try to accommodate you in your choices, but can’t guarantee the availability of the specific brands available in Thailand. In Thailand we drink the wine cold from the refrigerator. Please inform Khun Mam (maid) about how you would prefer the wine served or stored. As the penthouse has a registered license to sell wine & alcohol, a corkage-charge will be added to you bill if alcohol and wine brought in are consumed in the penthouse. On the shelf at the bar will find different brands including whiskey, rum, vodka & gin. NB. Thailand is a true paradise for Golf lovers! We can offer you different golf courses in all levels for you to enjoy the game in superb surroundings. We have secured great deals at all the golf courses near to the penthouse to offer you world class golf at reasonable prices. We can also arrange for transportation if you want to play at golf courses other than “Crystal Bay” and “Mountain Shadow”.
