A joint team consisting of IOM, IDS/WFP, ANDMA, DACAAR, CARE and DoRR, conducted assessment of the affected families on 02 September, So far; 89 families ( 63 families houses severely dam- aged and 26 houses completely destroyed) were identified eligible for humanitarian assistance while the assessment of the remaining families are on-going. Update: As per the initial report from ANDMA, 45 families were reportedly affected by heavy rainfall in Bagram and Kohi Safi districts on 16 August. A joint team consisting of IOM, ANDMA, district Authority, and DACAAR conducted assessment of the affected families, 46 families were identified eligible for humanitarian assistance. IOM distributed NFIs to 34 families, ARCs distributed NFIs to 12 families and WFP covered food needs of the affected families. Kabul: As per the initial report from ANDMA, 25 families were affected by heavy rainfall in Qarabagh and Istalif districts of Kabul province on 16 August. A joint team consisting of IOM, ANDMA and district authority initiated assessment of the affected families on 17 August. 10 families were identified eligible for humanitarian assistance, IOM distributed NFIs and WFP covered food needs of the identified affected families. Nangarhar: As per initial report from ANDMA; five families were reportedly affected by heavy rainfall in Kuz Kunar district on 01 September. A joint team consisting of IMC, WFP, DG initi- ate assessment of the affected area. Assessment is on-going. Kunar: As per the initial report from ANDMA; 107 families were affected by heavy rainfall in Chwaki, Nurgal, Khas Kunar, Chapa Dara, Watapur, Shigal, Marawara, Asadabad, and As- mar districts. A joint team consisting of IOM, WFP, ANDMA and DG initiated assessment of the affected families. 36 families were found eligible for humanitarian assistance. IOM, SCI and ARCs distributed NFIs while food needs of the affected families were covered by WFP. Jowzjan: As per the initial reports from ANDMA, around 70 families affected by riverbank erosion as of last two months in Kawk and Shahab villages of Qarqin district. A joint team consisting of ACTED, DACAAR, ZoA and WFP conducted the assessment of the affected families. 68 families were identified eligible for humanitarian assistance, UNICEF has committed to distribute NFIs and WFP will distribute food items. Khost: As per the initial report from ANDMA, 56 families were reportedly affected by flood in Nader Shah Kot, Mandozi, Alishir and Matoon Districts on 16 August. A joint team con- sisting of IOM, IRC, DoRR, DAIL and ANDMA conducted the assessment of the affected families. 11 families were identified eligible for humanitarian assistance, IOM distributed NFIs and ANDMA distributed food items. The families are displaced to Eshkamish dis- trict center. Four inter-agency assessment teams consisting of ACTED, DACCAR, SFL, DORR, ANDMA, IDS and ARCS is mobilized on 5 August to verify and assess needs of the displaced families. 424 families were identified displaced and eligible for humanitarian assistance. 266 families received humanitarian assistance from WFP/SFL, ACTED, DAC- CAR and mission east while distribution of humanitarian assistance to 158 families are on-going. Badakhshan: 1,220 conflict IDP petitions were received by DoRR claiming to have been displaced from Kunduz, Takhar provinces and Arghanjkha, Yaftal, Jurm, Yamgan districts of Badakh- shan to Faizabad on 28 July. A joint assessment team consisting of ACTED-WFP, IDS, DoRR-AKAH and NAC initiated assessment of the displaced families. So far; 355 families were identified eligible for humanitarian assistance, 30 families received humanitarian assistance while the assessment and distribution of the remining families are on-going. Nangarhar: As per the initial report obtained from DoRR, around 2,100 families were displaced due to conflict from Surkhroad district currently residing within Surkhroad district center and Khogyani district. Three joint team consisting of WFP/PAT, WAW, DACAAR, DoRR, WAS, RRA and NCRO initiated assessment of displaced families, So far; 306 families were found displaced and eligible for humanitarian assistance while the assessment of the remaining families are on-going. Kunduz: On 31 August at 01:30am armed clash started between ANSF and AOG on PD1, Sedara, Khakani, Qawa khana, Angor Bagh, PD2, PD3 Zakhail and few other parts of Kunduz City, the highway between Kunduz Pulekhomri, Kunduz Taleqan and Kunduz Emam Saheb are closed for traffic movement. DoRR reported around displacement of 3,100 families from different districts that are currently settled in safe areas of Kunduz city. Following lull in conflict, most of the fami- lies returned back to their homes after the conflict degraded. Few families still remains displaced in Kunduz city for which four joint assessment team swill be deployed to Imam saheb on 05 September to assess the 200 reported IDP families that are recently displaced due to clash in the district. The urgent need of these families are food, and drinking water however conflict is still ongoing in few parts of Imam Saheb. Baghlan Province: Due to recent clash and conflict in Pulekhomri 1,550 families were reportedly displaced from Zaman khil, Bandido, Puli Madan, Karkar, Blok Hai cement, Borgha, Dosaraka and Kelagay areas to center of Pule Khumri, 40 shops and houses destroyed, 65 civilians injured and lack of food items, drinking water and other essential items reported in the market. Six interagency joint assessment team will initiate assessment of the displaced families on 04 September, WFP committed to distribute food items for eligible IDP fami- lies, DACCAR committed to distribute hygiene kits and wash facilities. Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR): The first round of the community based disaster risk management (CBDRM) training workshop initiated in two communities of Ghazni province. - One community in Ghazni province, Shahrak Alberoni, the training start on 02 September for five days. 71 members of the community (36 male and 35 female) including a staff from ANDMA participated in the training. - One community in Ghazni province, Shahrikona, the training start on 02 September for five days. 75 members of the community (40 male and 35 female) including a staff from ANDMA participated in the training.
