This paper discusses the relationship between communication and socialization, and agrees that communication and socialization interwovenly are the processes of interaction and learning that commence from birth and continue to adulthood thereby aiding social learning. It is through communication that a person goes through socialization which enables a person to acquire and internalize the culture and value of the society. This paper therefore is an attempt to explain how and why people acquire, learn and practice the expected norms, values and ethics of social groups to which they belong.
