Our region, the Cayman Islands is the only one that does not receive monies from the Pontifical Mission Society since we are financially backed by the Archdiocese of Detroit. This Music Directors is a good thing that we are not considered mission territory although we are a mission standing St Ignatius: alone. But all the other regions are mission territories. What is nice is that all the monies we collect for the mission all stays here in the Caribbean Islands. Last year we collected almost Mr. Simon Donoghue $20,000 in all the collections that went to missions, the Holy Land, Peter’s Pence, and the collection Christ the Redeemer: we sent for New Orleans after their hurricane. As a region we received many compliments on Mr. Albert Chin what we were able to collect since we are the smallest of all the regions. The Pontifical Mission Societies is composed of four societies.
