Reception & Silent Auction begins at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner, dancing, and entertainment at 7:00 p.m. This black tie event salutes local San Diegans who have made a difference to our city through leadership and philanthropicThe contributions. Proceeds from the event will supplement our ability to provide essential services which have been significantly affected by recent budget cuts. Private contributions from caring individuals, like you, are a vital lifeline in these challenging economic times. John and PhyllisJewels Parrish, our Gala Chairs, personify this spirit of service. Ever since they Gala Chairs Phyllis and John Parrish moved to La Jolla from New Orleans more than 30 years ago, they have contributed their time, talent, and philanthropic spirit to the community they love and call home. Over the years, Phyllis hasof volunteered at many local nonprofits, serving as Chair for the Old Globe Theater Renaissance Ball, San Diego Symphony Gala, Royal Ascot Day, San Diego Multiple Sclerosis Chapter,San KPBS Television Diego Annual Auction, YMCA “Fantasy Ball” for Safe Place, “The Big Top” Leukemia Society, Angel Ball-ECS Community Services, Opera Opulence,THE San Diego ARC Opera, OF SAN and as DIEGO’S President of ANNUAL Sam and Rose GALA Stein Education Center, Vista Hill Foundation, and other agencies.
