Cleaning: Students are expected to clean their work-area after each class session. This may be accomplished through individual or group effort. Attendance: - Students are expected to be in class, and on time, each class period. - Students are responsible for signing the attendance sheet provided by the instructor during each class session. The instructor will not accept any excuse regarding the signing of attendance sheets. Unexcused Absence: This means failure to attend a class session as stipulated in this course outline or as previously arranged by instructor. To avoid stipulated penalty for being absent from any class session, students must provide a valid document that explains such absence. Acceptable documents for explaining absences are limited to: 1. Documents that are related to healthcare. 2. Documents that show the need for unavoidable absence. Failure to provide acceptable reasons for unexcused absences might result in the loss of 10 grade points (or a letter grade) for each class session missed. For example, a letter grade of “A” might be reduced to “B” from missing a class session, and at the second unexcused absence, the letter grade of “B” might be reduced to “C” and so on.
