The successful candidate will become part of a committed team of skilled trades personnel who carry out responsive repairs and servicing in public buildings and residential homes throughout the borough of North Tyneside. You will support the delivery of servicing, repairs and replacements of all commercial heating and DHW Systems including BEMS services and legionella remedial support works. The successful candidate will have excellent customer care skills and consistently deliver high quality work. They will take pride in their work, possess an element of multi-skilling and will ideally possess a good understanding of working in a Local Authority or in the Social Housing Sector. The successful candidate will be required to work in accordance with current legislation, british standards, codes of practice, safe systems of work and recognised industrial standards. An Officer with a specialism in Food and experience on Port Health is required and should hold the CIEH Environmental Health Registration Board Certificate or is working towards or has attained CIEH Chartered Status in Environmental Health. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated professional with the relevant level of experience in an Environmental Health background. It is desirable that the candidate will have worked previously as an Environmental Health Officer in a local authority and in a Port Health function. This is a varied role to include all areas of Port Health and Food and previous experience working in that field as an Environmental Health Officer is desirable.
