If you want someone else to have a copy of the file, point them at the website. It should be noted that most of the pages are identifiable as having been processed my me. _______________________________________ I put a lot of time into producing these files which is why you are met with the above when you open the file. In order to generate this file, I need to: 1. Scan the pages (Epson 15000 A3 scanner) 2. Split the photographs out from the text only pages 3. Run my own software to split double pages and remove any edge marks such as punch holes 4. Run my own software to clean up the pages 5. Run my own software to set the pages to a given size and align the text correctly. 6. Run Omnipage (Ulitimate) on all the pages to OCR them. 7. Generate a searchable Acrobat pdf file. Hopefully after all that, I end up with a presentable file, though I can’t guarantee there aren’t errors in the OCR. If you find missing pages, pages in the wrong order, anything else wrong with the file or simply want to make a comment, please drop me a line (see above). It is my hope that you find the file of use to you personally – I know that I would have liked to have found some of these files years ago – they would have saved me a lot of time ! INDEX TO RADIO AND RADAR PUBLICATIONS AP 2463 Volume 1, 1960 MR PUBLICATION 116A-0001-1 INDEX TO RADIO PIJBLICAIIONS BS COMMAND OF THE DEFENCE COUNCIL ?T.'&kANda. (Ministry of Defence) FOR USE IN THE NAVAL SERVICE ROYAL AIR FORCE Prepared by the Ministry of Defence (Aviation Supply)) AP 116A-0001-1 PREFACE (Completely Revised) The reference number of this publication was recoded from AP2463 (2nd Edition) to AP 116A-01 in March 1965 under AL.20, changed to AP 116A-0001 in Jan 1967 under AL.25 and finally amended to AP 116A-0001-1 in June 1971 under AL.29. No general revision of page captions has been undertaken but the code appears in place of the earlier AP reference on new or amended leaves issued subse- quent to that date. Below is given a list of associated indexes etc which may be of use when seeking a publication on a particular equipment, item or system. The "Guide to the allocation of codes" is particularly useful when applying for AP code numbers or tracing the (possible) basic code number of a coded publication (ie Teleprinters = 116M-03**). Regarding the publications listed below, AP113 Book 3 is an index of current four-figure AP numbers and Air Diagrams and AP113 Book 4 is an index of coded publications and Miniature Air Diagrams. If the publication number has been amended, say, from topic 1 to topic 13D or the publication title has been changed, this information should be conveyed to ATP/G on an RD(A) form 123. These forms 121 and 123, as well as the "Guide to the allocation of codes" can be obtained, through the usual channels, from: ATP/G (Coding Administration) Procurement Executive, Ministry of Defence Leatherhead Road Chessington Surrey KT9 2LT Note... 1. Group 116 deals with radio, television, line equipment and also their associated special-to-type test equipments. Group 117 contains information on general purpose test equipment for radio, radar and line equipments. In order to determine the existence of a possible Air Publication, first look up the group and then the sub-group. For example, Siemens Teleprinter Type 100 equates to 116M group, 03 sub-group. By referring to AP 113, Book 4, the actual AP number published is found to be 116M-0328-1. When applying for a new Air Publication code number in order to publish a book under the AP system, the applicant should again use the same process to determine the group and sub-group. The group, sub-group, proposed title of the book etc should be entered on an RDA Form 121 which is sent to MOD(PE), ATP/G Coding, Leatherhead Road, Chessington, Surrey KT9 2LT (Tele 01-397-5266, Extn 1307). One copy only is required. ATP/G Coding will allocate the full code number and it will be returned via ATP/E Clerical at RAE Farnborough. The routing of the form is shown below:- ORIGINATOR ATP/G CODING ATP/E CLERICAL, CHESSINGTON RAE FARNBOROUGH 1 , 1 This applies to applications for codes in the 116 and 117 groups only. Copies of RDA Form 121 can be obtained from the address previously mentioned. AL.33,Sept 73 Page 1/2 AP 116A-0001-1, Part 1 Section 1-1 GROUP 116: RADIO AND LINE EQUIPMENT (AND ASSOCIATED SPECIAL-TO-TYPE TEST EQUIPMENT) Note... Special-to-type test sets and equipment are included in the same Class as the equipment(s) to which they relate. (They are nor- mally either incorporated in the Publication for the equipment(s) or, if issued as a separate Publication, share the same Code 2nd-Element number (with distinguishing 3rd-Element Sub-Topic suffix); in this way, related equipment is linked in the same Publication Code family and so can be easily located and identified.) Note that, for separately-issued Publications on special-to-type test sets, Topic -3C is inapplicable.
