Ethel B. Starks Ethel B.^^arks,^^Hemans St., Pittsburgh, Pa., died Friday in her home. She was a daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. R.A. Starks and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Pitt­ sburgh, where she served on the usher board. „ Surviving are four Robert and Tom Starks, both of St. Clairsville, Samuel Starks of Columbus and Clarence Starks of Indianapolis, Ind.; one sister, Mary Scott of Detroit, Mich., several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Wednesday in Pittsburgh with burial in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville. He was born June 15, 1908 in New Castle, Ala., the son of the late Robert and Susie Lucas Starks. He was a retired coal miner from Hanna Coal Company and a member of the First Baptist Church, St. Clairsville. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian Jordon Starks. Surviving are his wife, Helen Clemont Starks; three sons, Robert and Thomas, both of Col­ umbus, Royce of Cincinnati: one daughter, Patricia Wilson ot Col­ umbus; two brothers, Thomas of St. Clairsville, Clarence of Indi­ anapolis; one sister, Mary of Detroit, Mich. Friends will be received at the Beck Funeral Home, St. Clairs­ ville, Monday, 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, St. Clairsville with Rev. He was a retired union steward for United Mine Workers of America and a member of Mount Pisgah A.M.E. Church, St. Clairsville. He was preceded in death ny his wife, Emily P. Starks, in 1990; his parents, Rev. Robert A. and Susie Mae Starks; two brothers; a sister. Surviving are a daughter, Emily Mae Starks of St. Clairsville; a brother, Clarence of Indianapolis; a sister, Mary Starks of Detroit; five grandchildren.
