Implementation of a project :The Kolleg provides the participants with the opportunity to develop and implement their own project in the areas of management and communication which relates to their work and is of use for their home institution. The project outline is already included in the application. During the Kolleg, the participants advance their project and are accompanied by an experienced mentor who is associated with the DGAP. Thereafter, the project is implemented in their home countries. After half a year, there is the possibility to continue working with the other participants on the project at a regional meeting. At the beginning of the next Kolleg in 2012, the participants come together in Berlin and present their project results. 2. Seminar units on Good Governance : The participants learn about administrative reforms and modernization and the concept of Good Governance: How are public administrations in Germany organized? What kind of communication channels and platforms are used? How can eGovernance make administrations more efficient? How are administration and politics intertwined? These units will be completed with a seperate certificate. 3. Looking behind the scences and building networks: The participants meet experts from society, politics and administration, deepen their insights into the political life and the relations in Germany and the EU and thereby establish important contacts and networks. The Kolleg aims at mutual learning and an exchange of Best Practice ideas. In doing so, the participants get to know examples from management and communication in the German and Polish administration and add their own experience from their home countries. Overview on the course of events 16.12.2010 Seite 2 The Kolleg covers a time frame from September 2011 to September 2012 and consists of three parts: 1. Kolleg in Berlin and Warsaw from September 11 until October 7, 2011 2. Implementation of the project in the home country from October 2011 to August 2012, if necessary with an additional meeting in one of the target countries 3. Final presentation of the project results in Berlin at the beginning of the next Kolleg in 2012 Prior to the Kolleg, an optional German language course at the Goethe-Institut in Dresden will take place from August 29 to September 10, 2011.
