Nov 20, 2013 11:17 CET Gate and boarding time now in Swedavia´s airport app Swedavia has now updated the Swedavia Swedish Airports app with a range of services that make it easier for travelers to navigate at the airport. Most requested are the gate and boarding information for departing flights that are updated in real time. Other features will be the luggage time of arrival and a travel planner for public transportation to and from the airport. The app is now available for iPhone, Android and Windows Phone 8. Since Swedavia launched the airport app in 2011, many travelers have requested more" on the go" features used on the way to and from the airport or destination. Now the app is updated with a number of traveler related functions such as gate and boarding information for departing flights and estimated time to baggage arrival. An additional feature will be the travel planner for information on how to travel by public transport to and from the airport. - We have made updates in the app based on travelers' desire for quick access to this type of information wherever you are at the airport. In particular, the app will make the stay easier at the major airports Stockholm Arlanda Airport or Gothenburg Landvetter Airport, says Michael Persson Gripkow, Chief Commercial and Marketing officer at Swedavia. Recently Swedavia launched the mobile service The Local's Guide which is a real time travel guide based on Instagram. Now users can also get travel inspiration through the app since The Local's Guide is included in the new version. The app includes all Swedavia airports where the default airport is determined by the position of the passenger.
