NOTICE TO THE WILDLIFE IMPORT/EXPORT COMMUNITY April 14, 2021 Subject: Amendments to CITES Appendix III Background: On March 24, 2021, the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) Secretariat posted a Notification to the Parties bulletin (No. 2021/026) announcing amendments to CITES Appendix III species listings. Importers and exporters can find the official CITES Notification at: https://cites.org/sites/default/files/notifications/E-Notif-2021-026.pdf Action: Effective June 22, 2021, the species indicated below (The kernel (also known as 'endosperm', 'pulp' or 'copra') and any derivatives thereof, except finished products packaged and ready for retail trade) are included in Appendix III, by Seychelles. These specimens imported into, or exported from the United States on or after June 22, 2021 will require CITES documentation. Species Included in Appendix III by Seychelles • Lodoicea maldivica (Sea coconut palm) Action: Effective June 22, 2021, the species indicated below are included in Appendix III, by Ukraine. These specimens imported into, or exported from the United States on or after June 22, 2021 will require CITES documentation.
