Letter from the Auditor Pierce County Auditor’s Office Dear Pierce County Voter, As you can see from the cover of this year’s pamphlet, the Washington State Primary has Pat McCarthy moved to August. Last year the State Legislature passed legislation establishing this earlier Pierce County Auditor date. Not only will this earlier date ensure more time in getting ballots to our military and overseas voters, it also provides a wider window of time between the Primary and Gen- Keri Rawlings-Rooney eral Elections. We are actively involved in voter education activities to inform voters of this Chief Deputy Auditor change. Trish Adams Democracy relies on every citizen contributing to this grand experiment called America. The Assistant to the Auditor glue that keeps us together is our ability to cast our individual votes in a collective decision making process. So let me thank you in advance for exercising your important right as an American citizen to vote.
