The Museum of Modern Art LYNN ZELEYANSKY Lynn Zelevansky, who organized the exhibition SENSE AND SENSIBILITY: WOMEN ARTISTS AND MINIMALISM IN THE NINETIES, has been a Curatorial Assistant in the Department of Painting and Sculpture since 1987. Ms. Zelevansky has organized PROJECTS exhibitions devoted to GABRIEL OROZCO (1993), SUZANNE LAFONT (1992), GUILLERMO KUITCA (1992), CILDO MEIRELES (1990), and HOUSTON CONWILL (1989). She has also assisted on several major exhibitions, including working with Robert Storr on ROBERT RYMAN (1993), for which she assembled the documentary chronology and cowrote the catalogue section of the publication; with William Rubin on THE WILLIAM S. PALEY COLLECTION (1992), AD REINHARDT (1991), and PICASSO AND BRAQUE: PIONEERING CUBISM (1989); and with Linda Shearer on VITO ACCONCI: PUBLIC PLACES (1988), for which she coauthored the catalogue essay. In 1993 she worked on the reinstallation of the Museum's collection of painting and sculpture with Kirk Varnedoe, Chief Curator, Department of Painting and Sculpture. She is currently assisting Mr. Rubin with PICASSO AND PORTRAITURE: REPRESENTATION AND TRANSFORMATION (1996). Ms. Zelevansky has published articles and essays for a variety of art journals and periodicals, mostly on contemporary art. For The Museum of Modern Art, she edited Picasso and Braque: A Symposium (1992). Ms. Zelevansky received her B.F.A. from Pratt Institute and her M.A. (1987) from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. Prior to joining the Museum, she was a freelance art critic and taught photography and art criticism at Pratt Institute and Cooper Union (1979-85).
