Patrick McGuff and John Midwest League • Overall Ghyzel combined to blank the Captains. McGuff pitched seven scoreless frames and gave up just two hits, en route to the win. Ghyzel gave up one hit over two scoreless innings. Dayton scored a pair of runs in the fifth to open the scoring. Reshard Munroe worked a two-out walk and tried to go first to third on a single by Raul Wallace. Oscar Gonzalez fired to Eastern Division W L GB third, but his throw sailed high and out of play, allowing Munroe to score. Wallace then scored on a single by Alejo Garcia. The Dragons added a run in the sixth when Andy Sugilio tripled home Jonathan India with two outs.
