Spring 2021 Arrival and Self-Quarantine Facilities Application Guide Office of International Affairs Seoul National University 1. Summary This guide contains the application procedure for “Siheung Campus Self-Quarantine Facilities”. SNU OIA offers for students who are required to self-quarantine for 14 days upon arrival to Korea at Seoul National University Siheung Campus Hotel & Convention Center. Please note that there may be additional changes in the guidelines and information, and students must comply with the latest version of the guidance at all times. 2. Arrival (Airport to Self-Quarantine Facilities) All entrants who reside in Korea must receive a COVID-19 diagnostic test immediately upon arrival at the local public health center’s screening clinics. It is mandatory that each person DOES NOT use public transportation and instead uses a personal vehicle or specially designated shuttle taxi/bus when going to receive their mandatory COVID-19 test. Please note that all individuals are required to undergo a mandatory self-quarantine for 14 days from the next day, regardless of their test results. ○ Arrival Guide (Wear a mask all the time during the travel) 1) Upon arrival, go to the emergency shuttle bus waiting area (Zone 5 ~ 8 bound for Siheung-si), fill out the passenger form, and take the bus 7000. Passengers are only allowed to get off at the bus stops designated by the district office. 2) Get off at the local district office (Siheung-si Jeongwang-dong E-Mart), and receive the COVID-19 diagnostic test at Siheung Jeongwang Public Health Center’s Screening Clinics. 3) After the diagnostic test, take the specially designated transportation again (free), and head to the SNU Siheung Campus Hotel & Convention Center self-quarantine facilities. 4) You will be given further guidance for move-in and self-quarantine. ○ Shuttle Bus (#7000) Timetable (Subject to change, fare: KRW 5,300) - Due to the limited operation hours of the district office’s screening clinic (tests available to passengers who arrive before 6 pm through the bus #3), we advise you to change your flight schedule according to the schedule below. If you take a specially designated taxi, it will cost around 50,000 KRW. Self-Quarantine Facilities at Siheung Campus * Students who will reside in SNU dormitories (Gwanaksa) after the self-quarantine utilize the university shuttle bus from Siheung Campus to the dormitories. Please note that if you wish to stay at the self-quarantine facilities at Siheung Campus, you are required to pay a fee. Please read the information below carefully and make sure that you apply for our university-provided quarantine facilities at least 3 days before your departure from your home country. Please note that the self-quarantine requirement applies only to new entrants to Korea (including return and re-entry to Korea), and therefore, students who are currently residing in Korea are not required to undergo self-quarantine. <Self-Quarantine Facilities Operation Plans> Schedule Date - 1st round: 2021. 1. 22. Please keep in mind that while doing a wire transfer, that extra fees such as transfer fee may occur. - We will be providing all students with three meals a day (Included - Others in the total fee of USD 900). Meals will be delivered to your room. * If you do not complete the application and fee payment in time, you are not allowed to move into the self- quarantine facilities. Bank account information will be provided at a later time for students who finish the application. * Due to the limited number of rooms available per day, not every applicant will be accepted. Passengers are only allowed to get off at bus stops designated by the district office. 3) Take the shuttle bus to your local district office. 4) Get off at the district office and follow the instructions given by the person in charge at the district office. You may be scheduled to receive the COVID-19 diagnostic test immediately or be asked to head directly to your residence.
