The Shelters is the follow-up to the band’s four-song EP, which was released last October. Both the EP and the album were co-produced by one of the band’s musical heroes, Tom Petty, with all songs written by bandmembers Chase Simpson and / or Josh Jove. The album can be pre- ordered via participating digital retailers on May 6th. The Shelters, who recently opened for Gary Clark Jr. and The Struts, will tour the nation throughout May with their Warner Bros. Records label-mates The Wild Feathers. They will also perform at the Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta, the Bunbury Music Festival in Cincinnati, and the Firefly festival in Dover, DE. Beginning May 26th, The Shelters will open the entirety of the tour being undertaken by Tom Petty’s pre-Heartbreakers band Mudcrutch. Please see below for all upcoming Shelters tour dates. The sounds The Shelters have made seem to have been dragged from the vaults and forced to fit the present: "It’s as if the Laurel Canyon harmonies of the 1970s spent the glam rock ‘80s in The Viper Room on the Sunset Strip before getting a 2015 update in Silverlake.” - Paste “These young cats are rock missionaries” - Jambase “Their unique sound, marked by harmonies and guitar solos, had just the right amount of nuance to distinguish them from other thrashy rock outfits at Beach Goth. Most surprising standout.” -LA Music Blog Don’t miss The Shelters on tour this summer: * denotes show with The Wild Feathers + denotes show with Mudcrutch # denotes headline show 04/01 Seattle, WA Tractor Tavern * 04/03 Portland, OR Mississippi Studios * 04/05 Solana Beach, CA Belly Up Tavern * 04/06 West Hollywood, CA Troubadour * 04/07 San Francisco, CA The Independent * 04/08 Crystal Bay, NV Crystal Bay Club Casino* 04/09 Salt Lake City, UT The State Room * 04/11 Kansas City, MO The Riot Room * 04/12 Minneapolis, MN Varsity Theater * 04/13 Milwaukee, WI The Rave II * 04/15 Chicago, IL Bottom Lounge * 04/16 Madison, W Majestic Theater * 04/17 Indianapolis, IN The Hi-Fi * 04/19 Columbus, OH The A&R Music Bar * 04/21 Toronto, ON Lee’s Palace * 04/22 Albany, NY The Hollow * 04/23 Burlington, VT Higher Ground * 04/24 Portland, ME Port City Music Hall * 04/26 Providence, RI Fete Lounge * 04/28 New York, NY Bowery Ballroom * 04/29 Boston, MA Brighton Music Hall * 04/30 Philadelphia, PA The Foundry at The Fillmore * 05/01 Washington, DC U Street Music Hall * 05/03 Atlanta, GA Terminal West * 05/15 Atlanta, GA Shaky Knees Festival 05/25 Denver, CO Larimer Lounge # (headline show) 05/26 Denver, CO The Ogden Theatre + 05/29 Chillicothe, IL Summer Camp Music Festival + 05/31 Nashville, TN Ryman Auditorium + 06/01 Nashville, TN The Basement # (headline show) 06/02 Atlanta, GA Tabernacle + 06/03 Cincinnati, OH Bunbury Music Festival 06/04 San Diego, CA 91X Presents XFEST 06/06 Washington, DC 9:30 Club + 06/07 Philadelphia, PA The Fillmore Philadelphia + 06/10 New York, NY Webster Hall + 06/11 New York, NY Webster Hall + 06/14 Port Chester, NY The Capitol Theater + 06/15 Boston, MA House of Blues + 06/17 Dover, DE Firefly Music Festival 06/19 San Francisco, CA The Fillmore + 06/20 San Francisco, CA The Fillmore + 06/25 Los Angeles, CA The Fonda Theatre + 06/26 Los Angeles, CA The Fonda Theatre + 06/28 Santa Ana, CA The Observatory + The Shelters: Chase Simpson – guitars, vocals Josh Jove – guitars, vocals Sebastian Harris - drums Jacob Pillot - bass http://www.thesheltersmusic.com https://www.facebook.com/TheShelters https://instagram.com/theshelters/ http://youtube.com/theshelters http://twitter.com/theshelters # # # For more info, contact Warner Bros.
