The music of Jacques Press, Jack Stamp, The concert’s driving opener, Magnolia Star, is a jazz and blues-inspired work by emerging John Williams, Francis McBeth, David Maslanka and Gustav Holst is combined to create a a powerful sound, it has a great tradition, American composer Steve Danyew that celebrates the Illinois Central Railroad and the symbolic program that honors Holocaust Remembrance Day and Earth Day. In November’s program, entitled Reflections, we are delighted to present two dramatic works by Dmitri Shostakovich and feature tuba soloist Gene Pokorny, Principal Tuba of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, in his first appearance with the Northshore Concert Sunday, February 12, 2017 | 3:00 pm Sunday, June 4, 2017 | 3:00 pm Band. Youthful Spirit in February aptly describes the energy of our “Lifetime of Music” ON THE TOWN concert, where we are joined by 40 of the most talented middle school instrumentalists in YOUTHFUL SPIRIT WINTER SUMMER the Chicagoland area. The imaginative and beautiful collection of folk songs, Lincolnshire This concert celebrates both the youthful spirit of our student guests and that same spirit that exists Join us for a lively juxtaposition of dance rhythms from New York to Mexico as we celebrate Posy by Percy Grainger, is a fan favorite!!!! Giving Voice to the Silenced in April honors in all of us. Percy Grainger toured the British countryside, collecting folk songs and preserving the bond between the United States & Latin America. The jazz influence of Leonard Bernstein’s Holocaust Remembrance Day with thoughtful repertoire including Theme from Schindler’s List them on wax cylinders.
